Other Press lands Kamel Daoud

Other Press bought World English rights to Kamel Daoud's Meursault: Contre-enquête at auction at the Frankfurt Book Fair from rights holder Editions Actes Sud (orginally published in Algeria by Editions Barzakh). The book is shortlisted for the Goncourt Prize, was longlisted for the Renaudot Prize, and won the Prix des Cinq Continents de la Francophonie and the Prix Francois Mauriac. The novel imagines the story of the brother of the anonymous Arab killed in Albert Camus' classic, The Stranger.
