This weekend both Scholastique Mukasonga, author of Our Lady of the Nile, and Joseph Patrick Stancil, translator of The Sleepworker by Cyrille Martinez, will be featured at the Brooklyn Book Festival on Sunday.
At 11:00am, Scholastique Mukasonga will join a panel discussion, A Question of Faith: Literature’s Divine and Devout, about how faith affects fiction, at the Borough Hall Media Room. For more information, click here.
In the same room, at 2:00pm, Joseph Patrick Stancil will take part in the panel The Displaced, The Dispossessed and The Dreamers with authors Warren Lehrer (A Life In Books) and Edan Lepucki (California) about how characters in novels are motivated by ethics, art, and dreams.
