For over ten years, Woody Allen has been conversing regularly with Jean-Michel Frodon at the release of each of his films in Paris. From these meetings, a long dialog of confidences and reflections came into being, which, after being published in Le Monde, became the basis for this book. This conversation is followed by a text by Jean-Michel Frodon centered around Woody Allen’s development of his comic freedom, and his artistic and financial independence over the last 30 years.

Jean-Michel Frodon : Journalist and film critic Jean-Michel Frodon is the head of the film department at Le Monde. He is also the author of La projection nationale (Odile Jacob, 1998) and L’Age moderne du cinéma français (Flammarion, 1995).
