Description
She grew up during the civil war in Lebanon, carried a weapon at age 20, and shot the general of the Southern Lebanese Army. She then survived ten years of hell in solitary confinement in Khiam, a prison and death camp. After intense Lebanese, European and even Israeli campaigns in her favor, she was finally released in 1998. This is the breathtaking autobiography of Souha Bechara, a woman who has never given up hope in the face of despair.
