Argentine-French journalist and author Alicia Dujovne Ortiz is the daughter of Carlos Dujovne. She was born in Buenos Aires in 1940 and has lived in France since 1978. She worked for the progressive Argentine newspaper La Opinión and was awarded the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Latin American and Caribbean fellowship in 1986. She wrote several novels and essays, including the international best seller Eva Perón: The Biography, published by St. Martin’s in 1997. Her work has been translated into more than 20 different languages worldwide.
