Michel Onfray, an established and charismatic public intellectual, is the author of many critically and publicly acclaimed titles. Among these, Cynismes (Éditions Grasset, 1990), L'art de jouir (Éditions Grasset, 1991) and La Raison gourmande : Philosophie du gout (Éditions Grasset, 1995), which won the Prix de l'Académie du Vin de Bordeaux and the Prix Liberté Littéraire of Geneva. His most recent publication is Féeries anatomiques : Généalogie du corps faustien (Éditions Grasset, 2003). His work has been translated into fourteen languages.
