Jean-Louis Hartenberger is a paleontologist at the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique, and on the faculty of the Institut des Sciences de l’Evolution at the University of Montpellier. A specialist in early rodent fossils, he is the co-editor of the Journal of Mammalian Evolution.
